Personal Care Aide (PCA) Training Program

Program Overview

Schofield Care’s Personal Care Aide (PCA) Training Program prepares individuals for a rewarding career providing hands-on care and support to individuals in their homes and communities. PCAs assist with personal care, daily living activities, and help clients maintain independence and dignity. This program is a paid trainee program.

Program Details

Our PCA Training Program includes:

  • Paid Training
  • New York State–approved curriculum
  • Classroom instruction
  • Skills lab training

No prior healthcare experience required.

Career Opportunities After Certification

Graduates may work in but not limited to:

  • Licensed Home Health Care Program
  • Long-Term Care at Home programs
  • PACE programs
  • Community-based healthcare settings

What does a Personal Care Aid do?

  • Assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Meal preparation
  • Light housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Companionship
  • Assistance with errands

PCAs focus on helping individuals with daily living activities to remain safe at home.
