Program Overview
Schofield Care's Personal Care Aide (PCA) Training Program prepares individuals for a rewarding career providing hands-on care and support to individuals in their homes and communities. PCAs assist with personal care, daily living activities, and help clients maintain independence and dignity. This program is a paid trainee program.
Program Details
Our PCA Training Program includes:
- Paid Training
- New York State-approved curriculum
- Classroom instruction
- Skills lab training
No prior healthcare experience required.
What Does a PCA Do?
- Assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry
- Companionship
- Assistance with errands
PCAs focus on helping individuals with daily living activities to remain safe at home.
